New Dust Certification for Wolf Midi M-80 Torch
Wolf Safety enhances the Midi M-80 torch with further ATEX and IECEx certification for safe use in Zones 1 and 2 for both potentially explosive gas, vapour and mist, and now Zones 21 and 22 dust atmospheres.
With the new enhanced IIIB dust certification, the compact high power LED pocket torch delivers excellent illumination, robustness and reliability for use within potentially combustible dust environments found in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, distillery, grain/powder storage and polymer industries, where IIIA (combustible flyings) and IIIB (non-conductive dusts) dust certification permits and with a maximum surface temperature of 200°C.
Alex Jackson, Wolf Safety’s Managing Director comments “We are focused on continuously improving our products and expanding certification to maximise the reach of our already proven and trusted torches for safe use in all explosive atmospheres. The new certification now gives end users the ability to use our products in a wide range of hazardous industrial dust applications, in addition to gas apparatus groups IIA and IIB, for potentially explosive gases with T3/T4 (dependant on primary cells used) temperature class, and group I M2 mining applications.”
With a high output LED "fitted for life" light source, giving up to 189 lumens of light output and bespoke optics delivering a narrow high intensity beam and a lower wide angle fringe light and with a battery duration of up to 7 hours, the Midi M-80 Torch is ideal for inspection and maintenance work in conditions of darkness or reduced visibility requiring an ultra bright compact and robust torch.
