Wolf Safety announces the launch of a new range of linkable ATEX Certified portable fluorescent luminaires, approved for use in Zone 1 (Cat 2) IIC T3/T4 Hazardous Areas, for heavy duty application in the most demanding of areas, such as the oil, gas & petrochemical industries and the utility markets.

Since its summer launch, the new ATEX Certified Worklite from Wolf Safety has received some excellent evaluations and has already achieved a notable level of sales from a variety of quarters. To date, 100 units have been sold to a leading UK offshore tank cleaner and maintenance contractor who has completely re-equipped his portable lighting needs with the ATEX Worklite. Other significant sales have come from utility companies, where the product is being used to light tunnels, sewers and drains.

Wolf has introduced a new LED Primary Cell Torch range, Certified to ATEX and IECEx by Baseefa (2001). The three torches in this TR-40 range incorporate high power LEDs, producing a flawless intense white beam of about half a metre diameter at five metres and a light source that is ‘fitted for life’. Each torch is powered by four x AA alkaline primary cells, which will not only produce an optimum output for up to seven and a half hours duration, but will also continue to provide a good light for up to 72 hours.
