Wolf Safety have three products NATO Codified which are supplied to the UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) for use in military applications where potentially explosive atmospheres may be present.

The TR–24+MOD yellow Right–Angle Safety Torch, codified with NATO Stock Number 5A/6230–99–259–6285, is supplied to RAF groundcrew for inspection and maintenance of aircraft. The UK Defence Fire Service is also using the TR–24+MOD torch for fire–fighting applications in British military bases.

The TR–24BMOD black ‘Aircrew’ Right–Angle Safety Torch, codified with NATO Stock Number 5A/6230–99–426–4033, is being supplied to RAF aircrew for applications including pre–flight inspections of helicopters and transport aircraft. The aircrew torch was specified in black to allow the use of coloured filters, masking any light that could otherwise leak through the back off the torch, particularly critical with NVG (night vision goggle) compatible filters.

Both torch versions have the NATO Stock Number moulded on the side of the torch. All relevant ATEX Torch spares have also been NATO codified for easy product maintenance.

These primary cell torches compliment the rechargeable Wolflite Safety Handlamp H–251A, NSN 5A/6230–99–395–8421 , versions of which have been NATO codified and in use with the RAF for approximately 20 years.
